Bismillah.
I pity the fool...
Who sees me covered, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me struggling, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me fighting, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me crying, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me sick, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me prostrate, and feels sorry for me.
Who sees me obey, and feels sorry for me.
Because...
When I cover, I shield myself from the evil of mankind. And I sheild myself from the temptations that surround me and intoxicate others who submit to their desires.
And when I struggle, I know there is a light at the end of a tunnel. So why give up when I know the grass is greener on the other side, all I have to do is cross the finish line.
And when I fight, there is no such thing as mercy. So don't challenge me, because you'd be surprised how well 'opression' strenghtens an individual.
And when I cry, my tears do not evaporate in vain. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "One who weeps out of fear of Allah, will not enter the Hell ...". [At-Tirmidhi].
And when I am sick, it's all good because this an expiation for my sins. And it humbles me, because I am reminded of the weakness of man.
And when I prostrate, my heart starts to beat just a little bit faster. And my muscles get tense trying to make this moment last longer. And my tongue supplicates with the certainty of acceptance, because the closest I am to Allah is in when I prostrate before Him.
And when I obey, I do it not only because I have to, but also because I choose to submit to the King of Kings, not the King of Queens.
So I pity the fool who feels sorry for me; and I pray that Allah saves me from being a fool.
